World book week 📚We celebrated World Book Week 2023, on Monday 27th of feb to Friday March 3rd. We had a wonderful week of activities from buddy reading, visits to our local library, stories from Debbie our school librarian, book quizzes in class, daily DEAR time, riddles & book questions of the day compiled by 6th class, online lessons from authors who will visit us for writing workshops in the coming weeks, book tokens, bookmarks, beautiful art based on our favourite stories and MOST IMPORTANTLY our highly anticipated annual Book Character Parade! World book day 🎈We certainly had some interesting new pupils in school on Friday as we celebrated World Book Day. The children had the most wonderful day wearing costumes and describing their favourite book characters. Well done to all of the girls and everyone who helped them get into character on Friday! A fantastic effort was made and it really sparked the children’s interest and love of books!
