Home School Community Liaison (HSCL)
The role of the HSCL is to support the parents and guardians of the children in our school. The HSCL will visit homes to develop a bond of trust between parents and teachers, home and school.
The HSCL also arranges courses for parents in the school and local community. These are arranged based on the interests and needs of parents. Examples of previous courses are: First Aid, Pilates, Yoga & Mindfulness, Cookery, Arts & Crafts. We also arrange for parents to work within their child's class. Examples are: Maths for Fun (Infants), Story Time (Junior Infants), Literacy for Fun (1st & 2nd Class), Science for Fun (3rd-6th), Pumpkin Carving(6th Class), Christmas Flower Arranging, Board Games (3rd - 6th). If you have any ideas or requests please let me know. The HSCL is shared between 2 schools and therefore is only in our school on Mondays and Tuesday, but can be contacted Monday to Friday 9am-2.30pm. |
