Active schools week 2022
We had a very busy week keeping active. We got the chance to try out lots of new sports and we ended the week with one of the best days of the year-sports day. We had some delicious ice cream to help cool us down!
Here is a little look at how our week went!
Monday- basketball with Basketball Ireland
Tuesday- Frisbee for the senior classes and dance for the infants.
Wednesday- Rugby and Cricket for the senior girls and pool noodle activities for the infants.
Thursday- GAA
Friday- sports day!

Virtual Sports Week
15th- 19th of June 2020
You didn't think we could let you miss out on one of the funnest weeks of the school year did you? Of course not!!
Although sports week may be a little different this year, you can still have lots of fun at home with a week full of fun activities (and no school work!!). Even the teachers are getting involved so why not get the whole family involved too :) Make sure you check back here every day this week for your daily practise activities to get you prepared for the main event- Virtual Sports Day on Friday the 19th of June :) We would love to see some snaps of you in action this week so send some photos onto your class teachers if you would like them to post them here for others to see. We will also emailing certificates of participation to those that take part so make sure you keep your teacher updated with how you are getting on. We hope you all have a fun and active week!! |

Friday- Sports Day!
Well done to everyone that took part in our Virtual sports week. It looks like you all had a great week!! Now it's time for the main event- sports day :) Choose your favourite activities from throughout the week to complete today and make sure you check out the teacher challenge videos below. Below is a sample timetable you might like to follow but of course you can make it your own too :) We also have an extra 30 minute walking challenge to try out. Don't forget to get the whole family involved and send us on some pictures of you participating to get your certificate of participation.

Welcome to Teacher Thursday! Today we have a special challenge for you- "How many jumping Jacks can you do in 30 seconds?". Check out the video below to see how some of the teachers got on with the challenge- can you beat the teachers? Record a video of yourself doing jumping jacks for 30 seconds and send them into us- best of luck!!
