Well done to everyone that sent their pictures in. We had a really tough job picking the winners. All the art was fantastic. We hope you all enjoyed making your pictures. The winning pictures are in the slideshow below. Congratulations girls! 

A huge congratulations to the football team and their wonderful coaches Ms. Gerrard, Ms. Carr and Ms. Shannon who have been training the girls and preparing them for this momentous occasion. Thank you to all the supporters who travelled to Croke Park on the day to cheer them on. A big thank you also to the parent volunteers who made headbands for the entire school, came in to do face paints on the supporters and style the football teams' hair. You added so much to the day with your enthusiasm and generosity. Thank you! Take a look at the photos from the day....

Prize Giving is always a fabulous assembly in our school. The wonderful achievements of the girls over the year are acknowledged with medals and certs. We had prizes for football team, soccer team and athletics squad, the choir who performed at Peace Proms, the Ukulele & Recorder group and our young chefs who completed the cookery course. The 6th Class girls were also presented with their end of year attendance prizes. Well done to all the girls and teachers involved.

Well done to all the girls in our school who took part in drama classes with Ms. Noone this year and a special well done to all the girls in 1st-6th class who completed their drama exam this year. 

This year we are focussing on school attendance and to kick start it we took part in the Every School Day Counts Poster Competition which was run by Tusla and CYPSC. Two of our girls, Saibhín and Sophie won the overall school prize  - A Family Pass to the cinema each. There were also 2 winners from each participating class receiving a homework pass each. As a special treat each class that took part also won a box of chocolates. Well done girls! See you in school EVERYDAY!

We had very special visitors in our school today! Our senior girls began training in Tag Rugby and even got to play in Aviva Stadium. A big thank you to our coach Ray for bringing it in to show us.

The following girls had full attendance for March , April and May. They all received a certificate and a prize. Well done girls!

A huge congratulations to the girls in Sixth Class who today received their Speech and Drama exam awards. Four girls in the class had all their certificates and received great results in their drama exams throughout their 8 years in St. John of God G.N.S. It is because of this that they received a very special Medal from Ms. Noone. One of the girls received a trophy as she received distinction in all of her exams! A huge well done to each and every one of the girls and to all the girls in the younger classes, make sure you mind all your certificates very carefully so when you are in Sixth Class you may receive a medal too! 

Today we had our end of year assembly and prize giving.  We had a lot of prizes. A big thank you to Ms. Gleeson for doing such wonderful shopping. Well done to all the girls. The first prizes went to the girls who didn't miss a day for the last three months.

We also had prize giving to all the wonderful girls who took part in extra curricular activities during the school year.
