'Aaliyah's Butterfly' was designed and created in memory of our much loved and missed pupil and friend Aaliyah McCormick, by artist Deirdre O'Reilly. The piece was inspired by Aaliyah's beautiful and vibrant personality with input from her friends in 3rd class. The mosaic shows a butterfly in the night sky, in front of the moon - an incredibly rare and beautiful sight. We are really happy to have such a beautiful visual piece to remember Aaliyah by that the children who come to our school will be able to enjoy for many years to come.
