Thank You to our Local Heroes in Beaumont Hospital

14/4/2020

A big thank you to all the children who wrote a letter and emailed it onto me. It took ages to print them all out. I was blown away by how many of you got involved to show your appreciation to all of our local heroes who are working so hard in Beaumont Hospital and taking care of everyone.

I have heard that some of your mammies and daddies work in the hospital. They are local heroes too! So these letters are for them aswell.

A big thank you to Vivienne for coming up with such a wonderful idea, for putting the basket together and her team who knitted all the Easter chicks. Another big thank you to the Parents Association who donated the Creme eggs and to Catriona who delivered them to the hospital just in time for Easter Sunday.

One basket was given to the Intensive Treatment Unit (ITU) and one basket was given to St. Paul's Ward, where nurses, doctor's and healthcare staff are looking after all the people who have Covid-19.

The Parents' Association are kindly donating the Cadbury's Creme Eggs that had been bought to supply our Knitted Easter Chicks.
Maybe your children would like to write a Thank You Letter to send along with the eggs?

Take a photo and email them to hscl.sjgandbenedicts@gmail.com by 6pm Thursday 9th April.
I will print them out and they will be delivered tomorrow along with the eggs.

Don't forget to sign it with your first name only, your age and the name of our school.

Happy writing!

Welcome to the 2020 Incredible Edibles Family Challenge!Incredible Edibles is a healthy eating project normally availed by primary school teachers. However, in light of the current global pandemic, with schools closed and most of the Irish public in home isolation, we decided to open it up to ALL PARENTS to aid in at home learning, while also giving you an opportunity to win some PRIZES!

This is a fun and educational curriculum linked horticulture project, that will get your children thinking and learning all about how your food goes from field to fork!
